The Australian Society of Anaesthetists, MDA National and Macquarie Private Wealth sponsored a movie night for the WA Anaesthetic Registrars on 24 July. Fify Registrars and partners got together for pre movie drinks and dinner followed by the movie "The Dark Knight". The evening was a great success and gave the Registrars a chance to unwind after the recent Part 1 exams. The Final Fellowship written examination and Medical Clinical Vivas will be held on 29 and 30 August. Good luck to all the trainees who are sitting these exams.

The CME Committee met on 4 August and discussed WA CME events for 2009. A flyer will be sent out towards the end of the year detailing the 2009 WA CME program. 

Registrations for the Annual WA Updates in Anaesthesia Meeting at Bunker Bay are now open. Registration forms can be downloaded from www.wa.anzca.edu.au/events

 A working party has been formed to look at Trainees working in ANZCA accredited Anaesthesia departments who are not on the rotational training program. Recommendations will be put forward to the next Regional Committee Meeting which will be held on 26 August at the ANZCA WA Offices.
